Southwestern Contemporary Artists
specialize in a fresh view of here-and-now
Southwestern scenes and images. Mountains, deserts,
pueblos, adobes, people and animals take on a new look.

"We each see through our own lens and then
make our own statement of reality."

Chilis

I'm at home in the Southwest. To me, it is a never ending wonderland of shapes, colors and magnificent skies. Cowboys and Indians are intermixed with the business suits of corporate America, hurly-burly racing through downtown traffic or thumping, bumping along a dirt road into the past. Old western towns mixed with city sky scrapers make the mind reel at the diversity. Adobe architecture is everywhere and in the morass, there is not a straight line to be found. The colors are amazing, and artists love to use the "Southwestern palette" of dusty reds, purples, blues and golds. In places, you can see forever, and lose yourself in the distance of your imagination.
