There once was a day when the people happily followed the old gods and enjoyed their existence, eating, playing and mating-- just doing what came naturally. Later, a group of pirates, or shall we say mystics saw an opportunity and capitalized upon the situation. They created a great and vengeful God who would rule the world, and through Him, they would have immense power. Next, the mystics recruited the armies of barbarian lords who liked to fight and screw, but hated to work, and by appealing to the pride, arrogance, avarice and greed of these feudal types who followed no god except that of personal gain, they implemented their plan to enslave the sheep.
Together, the mystics and their mercenaries who called themselves Crusaders, descended upon the herd and forced them to follow a set of alien beliefs and impossible laws that virtually insured failure, punishment and misery. It was a dark day for the herd. You see, none of the sheep could successfully adapt to these adverse conditions, so there would always be plenty of opportunity for the priests as they then called themselves to bilk the sheep out of whatever they had. The priests even thought up a sort of a bogeyman who would punish errant individuals on behalf of the great and vengeful God-- after death, no less.
They called this so-called adversary and punisher of mankind, Satan, a catchall name for all the old gods and the natural spirit of mankind in an effort to make these here-to-fore, natural entities and traits unclean and undesirable. Of course, the female sheep of the day, seeing a chance to gain a little power for themselves, went along with this line of fantasy pretty well, but the males mostly hung back. However, the males soon learned that if they ever wanted to get any more poon-tang, then they would have to go along with the program.. So the Wicked Religion gained a foothold.
Next, the governments, then kings and emperiors, saw the light and said, "Woah! Here is what we have been looking for." We'll claim that we are installed in our positions by the will of the great and vengeful God, and then all the sheep will have to do what we require of them or suffer the consequences. Well, the priests didn't like that too much, having this other tribe of bandits funneling off their wealth and power, so they convinced the sheep to bleat for a separation of church and state. The sparks sure flew over this bone of contention, but in the end, the state backed out of the religion business as long as the priests sanctioned their governmental activities and didn't cry out against taxation-- "Give unto Caesar that which is Caesar's."
Read the history books! Throughout the last age, there has been more death and destruction chalked up to the mystics and their hunger for power and wealth than had occurred in all of the known history of mankind. Yes, it took a fine kind of insanity to murder fellow men and women by the thousands if they refused to follow a set of ludicrous teachings and laws. Yet, impossible as it might sound, that is just what happened-- in the name of God-- no less.
However, there always has been and always will be a growing number of individuals who, though raised and trained as sheep will break down the fences and escape to greener pastures where the natural instincts, hopes and dreams of mankind can be fulfilled.
This gradual process was greatly accelerated in the late 1950's when the laws against Witchcraft were repealed in the western world. Common sense had finally won out over superstition, and the lawmakers decided that there were no such things as Witches and Devils, so the gates were opened. Since then, the Wicans and the Satanists have grown at a steady rate, and now their numbers exceed those of the wicked religion. Yes, every generation brings a greater number of aware individuals to our doors and now, even though most Wicans claim that there is no such person as Satan, His family too, is growing daily, as the people want back their power once stolen from them by the mystics, and realize that such power lies in the old male and female gods of mankind.
